Dennis has had a lifelong passion for music, starting his musical journey at the age of 12. By 15, he was already performing in bands, showcasing his talent at concerts and dances. With extensive experience performing in front of large audiences and recording in professional studios, Dennis brings a wealth of expertise to his students.

While Dennis's primary instrument is the bass guitar, he is also highly skilled in playing six-string guitars, both acoustic and electric, as well as the ukulele. His versatility allows him to connect with students of all musical interests.

Dennis not only plays and performs but also writes and records his own music. He creates engaging videos and shares his work on popular platforms, including YouTube, where parents and students can enjoy his performances and creative projects.

Meet Greg: A Premier Music Instructor with Decades of Experience

Greg teaches in-home lessons only in Sherwood Park. 

Greg is a seasoned musician with over 50 years of experience in the vibrant Edmonton music scene. Throughout his illustrious career, Greg has performed with renowned show bands like the Kit Kat Club, starred in musical theater productions such as Grease at the Citadel, and captivated audiences at The Late Night Cabaret during The Fringe Festival. He has also had the privilege of accompanying many of Edmonton's musical legends, including Big Miller, Dave Babcock, and Brett Miles, among others.

Greg's dedication to his craft began with formal studies under the esteemed guitarist Bobby Cairns at Grant MacEwan Community College (GMCC). His expertise spans a wide range of musical styles, and he offers comprehensive lessons in guitar, bass, and ukulele.

Beyond his impressive performance credentials, Greg is a passionate educator who has taught through the Grant Macewan outreach program and privately for many years, guiding students of all ages—from young beginners to advanced adult learners. Greg’s approach is tailored to each student's unique needs, ensuring a personalized and enriching learning experience.

Steeped in improvised jazz tradition, Eric Weiden is a trumpet player and pianist who has spent decades pursuing identity in sound. After leaving Indiana University in the mid nineties, he spent years touring: as a big band member (Tommy Dorsey Orchestra & Guy Lombardo); and, with multiple Broadway musical U.S. national tours. Eric also performed and/or recorded with Calexico, Giantsand, the Abramson Singers, as well as many jazz and rock bands in western Canada. His trumpet teachers have included Dominic Spera (Indiana University jazz trumpet instructor), Bobby Shew (L.A. studio session player), Mark Van Cleave (lead trumpet with The Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra) and John Rommel (principal trumpet with The Nashville Symphony).

Eric has taught private trumpet and beginner piano lessons for around 20 years. Trumpet students have included casual and semi-pro adult students, casual school-aged students, school aged-students who have been selected for national honor bands, as well as young beginner students. His piano students have included young children from age three up to adult beginners as well as family lessons where parents and children learn together. Eric has taught many school clinics for jr. and sr. high students. Also, Eric completed a Masters in Arts Education at SFU, and taught middle school students at a Montessori school for five years.

Eric is also currently a lecturer at Concordia University teaching early childhood music education courses and helping to develop our future k-6 school teachers. 

Eric teaches piano, trumpet, bass, guitar and production lessons at Classic Studios.
